Anza Solar Farm

The Solar Farm concept grew out of the expressed desire of many of our members that Anza Electric Cooperative includes affordable renewable energy in our power mix.  This program is a “pay-to-play” structure that does not pass on costs to other Cooperative members who choose to not participate.  The Cooperative as a whole benefits from the program in two ways: reduced peak demand on our overall system, and the creation of Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) that have real cash value when redeemed through state mandated renewable energy programs.

Participation in the program requires the completion of a simple agreement.  Output allocations will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis until all allocations are taken.  Any applications received after all allocations have been assigned will be placed on a waiting list pending future increases in the size of the Farm.

UPDATE:

The Pilot Program is now fully enrolled.  We will continue to accept sign-ups from interested members, and place those names on a waiting list as we explore the options involved in expanding the program.
